Food and drinks from around the world at Moodz on the popular Vesteplein.
It’s been over eight years since Moodz was the finalist on the Dutch TV show ‘Mijn Tent is Top’, presented by famous chef Herman den Blijker. However, George Zevenbergen, owner of Moodz, still gets asked about it regularly, by Delftians and guests from outside Delft. “We didn’t come first at the time, but we are still running in abundance, in fact we’re the only ones left out of the finalists,” George says proudly.
A culinary tour along all worldly dishes
It’s lovely people-watching on the terrace, but also from the beautiful indoors, which consists of two monumental buildings. The theatre and cinema are on the same Vesteplein and guests often stop by for a drink and snack before or after a show. “But you are welcome throughout the day, from 11am onward; lunch, coffee, fingerfood, dinner … ” says George. The menu is described as a culinary tour along all worldly dishes, think of a Thai curry or a Surf & Turf burger. They haven’t forgotten about the kids, they tuck in with their parents with a complimentary plate and cutlery, or even more fun, choose from the just as worldly
Upstairs is a perfect space for private drinks and dinners, it has recently been refurbished and fitted with a new lick of paint. Moodz also has several special offers, such as a High Wine and even a boat trip on the beautiful Delft canals. With a goodiebag, a bottle of Prosecco and some nuts on the boat you can have an enjoyable dinner or lunch cruise.
Don’t fear the colder days; the terrace is nicely heated and in wintertime, Moodz fits the menu with dishes that fit perfectly with the warmth and cosiness of the season.
